At a windy Bedfont Sports, Brentford First Team were on the front foot right from kick off. Their early pressure was rewarded as Kaitlyn Spencer-Dempsey rounded off some good build-up play with a fine strike. Rebekah Wiltshire then took her tally to 14 for the season with a close range finish before the visitors halved the arrears with a superb free-kick late on in the half.

Headstone made life very difficult for The Bees after the break but Karleigh Osborne's side showed plenty of defensive resolve to see the game out and advance to the Quarter Finals.

After a number of failed attempts, Brentford Development and Denham United Reserves finally played their Capital Cup match. Missing a number of players, and up against a strong Denham side, it was always going to be a tough ask for The Bees and so it proved.

The highpoint for Brentford was Shannon Read's 20th of the season, direct from a corner, but it proved to be just a consolation in an 8-1 defeat.

Next weekend's action sees the First Team head to Islington Borough in the Greater London Women's Football League Division One while the Development Team visit Tooting Bec Women in the Sue Sharples Cup.

With players making their debuts in both teams this weekend, it's not too late to get involved this season.
