The match against the National League side provides Neil MacFarlane’s young group with another opportunity to test themselves against a senior opponent, and they’ll be looking to continue their positive run of form.

The B Team haven’t tasted defeat since August against a strong Chelsea XI and they’ll be aiming to build on recent wins in the local Cup competitions having beaten the likes of Fisher FC and St. Panteleimon FC.

About Woking FC

Woking do not have a league fixture at the weekend after exiting the Emirates FA Cup at the hands of Horsham in October. They currently sit in 11th in the National League and were last in action in midweek as they hosted Bromley. Despite the match remaining goalless up to the 78th minute, it was Bromley who claimed the points with a 2-0 win after goals from George Alexander and substitute Jack Cawley. In charge of Woking is 51-year-old Alan Dowson who guided the club to promotion into the National League in his first season in May 2019 after they beat Welling United in the Play-Off Final. His playing career saw him turn out for the likes of Millwall, Bradford City and Darlington before stepping into management in 2004 with Walton & Hersham. He has also managed Kingstonian and Hampton & Richmond Borough. Dowson is ably assisted by Sky Sports Commentator, Martin Tyler. The famous face, and voice, joined the the coaching set up in 2018 at Woking having worked with Dowson at his previous clubs too.
