The young Bees will be aiming for an improved result after an opening day defeat to Pafos FC on Sunday.

They’ll take on the Russian side in a 2pm (12pm UK time) kick-off at Kouklia Stadium.

Rodina Moscow take part in third tier of Russian football, in Group two of the Russian Football National League Two. This league is split into four groups dependent on region with 76 teams in total. The winner of each group is then promoted to the National Football League. Rodina head to Cyprus having won their division with some impressive results in recent weeks having not lost in the league since August. They have won their last six matches on Russian soil and drew their opening match of the Korantina Homes Cup against Pafos. The match finished 2-2 but the Cypriot side claimed the win on penalties.

Last time we met

The sides last met in March 2020 when the young Bees came away with a 3-0 win in a training fixture on their last trip to Cyprus. Goals from Christian Tue Jensen, Julien Carré and Jaden Brissett gave Neil MacFarlane’s side the win that day in an impressive performance.
