Shaleum Logan said Brentford would give Leyton Orient a better game than on their last trip to East London.

The Bees were beaten 2-0 by Orient in March and Shaleum admitted the team had underperformed that day.

They head back to East London tonight for a match that will be shown live on Sky Sports and Shaleum said he was looking forward to it.

“None of the lads performed that day, including myself,” said the right back, speaking about the game last season.

“We thought we’d have a good go but the game didn’t turn out how we wanted.

“This time we’ll give them a better run.

“It’s on Sky, people will be watching.

“Everyone likes to play in front of the cameras.

“There’s nothing better than playing for three points, I’m looking forward to it.”

Brentford sit just outside the top six in the embryonic League One table after beating Colchester United at Griffin Park on Saturday.

Farid El Alagui scored the only goal with two minutes remaining and Shaleum said Brentford deserved it.

He added everyone was pleased to keep the second clean sheet of the 2012/13 season.

“It was a good performance,” said Shaleum, speaking to Bees Player.

“After the first 20 minutes we started to play the game we know we can play, we started pressing well and got the result that everyone would think we deserved.

“We had a few chances – they had a good one in the first half – but we had three or four good chances and if we were more clinical we would have won by four or five.

“The gaffer [Uwe Rösler] said before the game he wanted a clean sheet.

“That comes from everyone, we felt we could do it and the back four and the goalkeeper did what we needed to do.”

Shaleum said he was pleased with how he was playing and wanted to continue his form for the rest of the season.

He added he knew there were players who could step in if his level dropped.

“I’m really happy with how I’m playing,” he said.

“I think I’m giving the team as much as I can going forward and defensively I’m a strong part.

“I look forward to doing it every week.

“I missed these games last year but I’m glad to be injury free and doing all I can.

“Every time I play I want to be the best player on the pitch.

“I know there are players who can take my position but I know if I play as well as I can, I will play.

“If I’m not, I know the Manager has players who can come in.”
