Michael Olakigbe has made a productive start to competitive action with WSG Tirol, scoring once and registering three assists across his first three appearances for the Austrian Bundesliga side.

The 22-year-old provided three assists in a 6-0 Austrian Cup first-round win at SC Wieselburg before scoring WSG's equaliser in a 1-1 league draw with Sturm Graz.

Olakigbe began his competitive campaign in WSG's convincing cup victory over Wieselburg on 24 July.

The Brentford winger crossed for Ademola Ola-Adebomi to open the scoring midway through the first half, before setting up Nikolai Baden Frederiksen and Lukas Hinterseer as WSG secured their place in the second round.

Olakigbe then marked his Austrian Bundesliga debut with a goal as his loan side drew 1-1 with Sturm Graz at Tivoli Stadion Tirol.

Szymon Włodarczyk gave the visitors the lead after 29 minutes, but Olakigbe levelled shortly before half-time, beating his opponent on the left before finding the bottom corner from a tight angle.

He also started WSG's second league fixture, a 3-1 defeat at SCR Altach on Friday evening. Olakigbe had his side's best opportunity of the first half when he raced clear following an Altach corner, but couldn't quite bring the ball under control when through on goal.

In Scotland, Ben Krauhaus has made three competitive appearances since joining Falkirk.

The midfielder made his debut against Ayr United in the Premier Sports Cup on 14 July, but was forced off with an injury after 38 minutes of the Bairns' 1-0 defeat.

Krauhaus returned a week later and was named captain for Falkirk's trip to Alloa Athletic. He played 75 minutes of a 1-1 draw, with Alloa claiming the bonus point after winning the subsequent penalty shoot-out 4-2.

The 21-year-old made his first Scottish Premiership appearance on Sunday, starting in a goalless draw at Motherwell. Krauhaus went close to a late winner for John McGlynn's side, curling an effort narrowly past the post as both teams searched for a breakthrough.

Romelle Donovan made his competitive Sheffield United debut as the Blades progressed to the second round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 victory at Mansfield Town on Sunday.

The 19-year-old replaced the injured Tahith Chong after 29 minutes and played the remainder of the tie, which was settled by goals from Patrick Bamford, Mark McGuinness and Callum O'Hare.

Donovan was involved in a number of Sheffield United attacks, seeing one second-half effort blocked and another go over, while crosses from the winger created headed opportunities for Bamford and Ryan Oné.

Matt Cox also made his competitive debut for his loan club at the weekend, starting in goal for Barnet in their Carabao Cup first-round tie at Cambridge United.

Cox made a number of saves to keep the game goalless during the first half, including stops to deny Ben Knight and Glenn McConnell.

Kabongo Tshimanga gave Barnet the lead four minutes after the restart, but Cambridge responded with two goals in quick succession to turn the tie around and secure a 2-1 victory.
