Ellery Balcombe and his Doncaster Rovers side came out on top against Jaakko Oksanen’s AFC Wimbledon as Rovers claimed their seventh League One win in eight matches with a 2-0 victory. Another clean sheet for Ellery saw him get another 90 minutes of action whilst Jaakko was introduced off the bench for The Dons to play the final 14 minutes.

The goals came from Fejiri Okenabirhie and Taylor Richards in the first half as Doncaster sit fourth in the table, five points off of Lincoln City in top spot and Darren Moore’s side also have two games in hand. As for Wimbledon, they sit 21st in the division having amassed 22 points.

In the same division it was defeat for Dom Thompson and Swindon Town as they were beaten 2-0 by Plymouth Argyle at The County Ground. The goals came from Panutche Camara and Ryan Hardie which keeps Swindon in the bottom four. Dom gained another 90 minutes of league action on the night.

In Sky Bet League Two, Arthur Read was involved for Stevenage as they drew 0-0 with Colchester United and they are now out of the relegation places by one point and they have two games in hand on Grimsby, who sit below them. Next up for Stevenage, a trip to Grimsby for an important fixture as they look to climb further away from danger.

There was also friendly action this week for Patrik Gunnarsson as he once again started the  for Silkeborg as they took on FC Midtjylland. Patrik's side fell to a 2-0 defeat away from home as Pione Sisto and Luca Pfeiffer grabbed the goals.

There was 45 minutes of friendly action for Joel Valencia as well as his Legia Warsaw side came from behind to beat Stomil Olsztyn 3-1. Joel played the first half for the Polish side who will now turn their attentions back to league action.

In Turkey, Halil Dervişoğlu could get his first taste of game time when Galatasaray travel to Gaziantep FK later today. Kasımpaşa S.K.recently beat Sivasspor 2-0 and they now sit 14th in the league table. Julian Jeanvier is still missing through injury for the side.
