Ivan Toney will start for Brentford against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Toney has missed the Bees’ last two matches due to an injury, but Thomas Frank, speaking at his pre-match press conference, confirmed that the striker is fit and available for the Cherries’ visit to the Gtech Community Stadium.

“Ivan is fit and available and will start tomorrow, so I just named one out of 11,” Frank smiled.

Frank also provided an update on some other members of his squad ahead of Brentford's latest Premier League fixture.

“[Shandon] Baptiste is in a good place,” he continued, “he’s trained fully for a week and will hopefully be ready for selection soon.

“[Aaron] Hickey is also training fully and will play for the B team tonight [Friday]. He’s progressing, but he’s not ready for tomorrow.

“[Frank] Onyeka is still a few weeks from potentially being involved in the squad.

“Pontus Jansson is progressing but unfortunately he’s not available yet.”
