Mark Flekken kept a clean sheet as Netherlands beat Greece 3-0 in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Thursday.

The keeper has impressed in west London since signing for Brentford this summer and he did similarly on the international stage, as Ronald Koeman's side recorded the second win of their qualifying campaign.

In a defence alongside Liverpool's Virgin van Dijk and Manchester City's Nathan Ake, Flekken - nominated for August's Premier League Save of the Month - kept Greece at bay with a number of fine saves.

Currently second in Group B, Netherlands' next game is against Nathan Collins' Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Sunday 10 September.

Kristoffer Ajer - Norway 6-0 Jordan

Kristoffer Ajer netted his first Norway goal as they won 6-0 against Jordan in a friendly on Thursday.

The defender towered above the opposition defenders to head home from a corner and put his side 2-0 ahead in the comfortable victory in Oslo.

Their next game is a home European Championship qualifier against Georgia next Tuesday 12 September, with a win taking them into the qualification spots.

Saman Ghoddos - Bulgaria 0-1 Iran

Saman Ghoddos assisted the only goal of the game in Iran's 1-0 friendly victory over Bulgaria.

Chasing down what appeared to be a loose ball, Ghoddos capitalised on a mistake from the Bulgaria defender, before inventively lifting the ball over the goalkeeper and into the path of his team-mate, who simply headed the ball into the back of the net.

After their win on Thursday, Iran now return to Tehran for a game against Angola on Tuesday 12 September.

Nathan Collins - France 2-0 Republic of Ireland

Nathan Collins played 90 minutes as Republic of Ireland were beaten 2-0 by France in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Thursday.

Directly up against Ballon d'Or nominee Kylian Mbappe, Collins demonstrated his impressive aerial dominance and composure on the ball against the no.2 ranked side in the world.

Republic of Ireland host Netherlands at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday 10 September, with their Euro 2024 hopes resting on picking up some points against the Dutch, who are three points ahead of them in the qualification spots.

Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen - Denmark 4-0 San Marino

Mathias Jensen started, while Christian Norgaard was an unused substitute, in Denmark's comfortable 4-0 victory over San Marino.

Jensen played an hour in the Euro 2024 qualifier win, with those three points taking them into second in Group H, two points behind leaders Finland.

The Danes take on their Scandinavian counterparts in a crucial clash at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Sunday 10 September.

Thomas Strakosha - Czechia 1-1 Albania

Thomas Strakosha was an unused substitute as Albania were held by Czechia in a Euro 2024 qualifier.

Albania currently sit second in Group E, just one point off the top of the group.

After they picked up that point on Thursday, Albania welcome Poland to Air Albania Stadium on Sunday 10 September.

Ji-soo Kim - Wales 0-0 Korea Republic

Ji-soo Kim was an unused substitute as Korea Republic drew 0-0 with Wales in a friendly on Thursday.

The defender has received his first call-up to the Korea Republic senior squad but is still waiting for his first cap for Jurgen Klinsmann's side.

Their next game is a friendly against Saudi Arabia at St James’ Park on Tuesday 12 September.
