A goal from Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo secured Cameroon's qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, as they beat Burundi 3-0 in their final group game on Tuesday.

The Indomitable Lions needed a win at home to be guaranteed qualification and they secured it with a comfortable victory, thanks to a second-half strike from Mbeumo, before Christopher Wooh doubled their lead and Vincent Aboubakar added a third in stoppage-time.

Cameroon - five-time AFCON champions - finished top of a three-team group, with Namibia qualifying for the tournament in second place.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast in January 2024, which will now feature Mbeumo and team-mate Yoane Wissa, who qualified with DR Congo earlier this week.
