Fin Stevens played the full 90 minutes for Oxford United as they climbed to the top of the Sky Bet League One table with a 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

Tyler Goodrham scored both of Oxford’s goals, either side of Alfie May’s strike for Charlton, to secure a fourth straight league win for Liam Manning’s side.

It was Stevens’ first start since joining the U’s and he’ll be hoping for more action this weekend when Port Vale make the trip to the Kassam Stadium.

Hot on Oxford’s heels are Ryan Trevitt and Exeter City after they scored a 93rd-minute winner to beat Reading at St James Park.

Will Aimson and Harvey Knibbs traded first-half goals before former Bee Reece Cole’s late winner in Devon.

Trevitt played the full game for the Grecians who have a Carabao Cup tie at home to Stevenage on Tuesday night before their league trip to Burton Albion at the weekend.

Paris Maghoma and Bolton Wanderers are in third in League One following their 1-1 draw at Burton Albion.

Maghoma played 72 minutes with the goals coming early in the second half. Mark Helm put the hosts ahead instantly after the restart with Dion Charles equalising just before the hour.

Championship side Middlesbrough head to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup with Derby County the league visitors on Saturday.

Tristan Crama grabbed an assist but it wasn’t enough for Bristol Rovers at home to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Joe Lowe and Garath McCleary gave Wycombe a two-goal lead before Crama cut back for Harvey Vale to half the deficit late on. Crama nearly grabbed a late equaliser only to be denied by a superb goal-line block.

Matt Cox also played the full 90 minutes for the Gas ahead of their league visit from Lincoln City on Saturday.

In League Two, Daniel Oyegoke played 66 minutes for Bradford City as they secured their second victory of the season thanks to a Jamie Walker strike just before the break.

The Bantams are on the road at Wrexham on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup before visiting Mansfield Town in the league on Saturday.

It was a great bank holiday weekend for Ben Winterbottom and Welling United after back-to-back wins lifted them out of the National League South relegation zone.

On Saturday, they were 3-2 victors over Havant and Waterlooville before Winterbottom kept his first clean sheet for the Wings in a 1-0 victory at Tonbridge on Monday.

Welling host St Albans City this weekend.
