Issue 13 of the Premier League season, which is now available to buy online, features in-depth interviews with Mads Roerslev, Phil Holder and Aaron Pressley.
Having reached a half century of appearances in red and white last month, we sat down with Mads to reflect on his rise from Brentford B to the Premier League:
“I feel a great connection with the Club. It’s something special when a player goes from the youth system to the First Team; it shows that it’s a healthy club with a good system in place. It’s a great environment and I know I’m not the only one who’s gone from the B Team to the First Team here. I 100 per cent feel that connection, this is my home.”
For our History Boys feature, Manager Phil Holder shares his memories of the 1991/92 Third Division title-winning campaign - stories that have been left untold for the best part of three decades:
“One of the real standout moments for me is the way we smashed Fulham. It was full house and I think Fulham took up the whole of the New Road stand. The atmosphere was electric. I got it into the boys to just get out there and blitz them, right from the word go. No holding back; don't hesitate or anything like that. Well, did we start off right?! It was an incredible game and that set us up.”
On loan at AFC Wimbledon, Aaron Pressley is currently back with Brentford B as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury. The 20-year-old spoke with Ben Strange during the young Bees’ trip to Portugal to reflect on his season so far:
“The type of striker that I am, with my size, I need to lead the line and in League One you have a lot of good teams and experienced players. I learned quickly about some of the things that I need to do. The senior players are more intelligent and streetwise in their game, and I think my performances have got better and better.”
