Romelle Donovan has joined Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield United on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old will continue his development by spending the duration of the 2026/27 campaign at Bramall Lane.
A Birmingham City youth product, Donovan initially joined Brentford B on loan in January 2025, having spent the first half of that season in Sky Bet League One with Burton Albion.
After impressing in the following months, he signed for the Bees permanently that summer and was simultaneously promoted to the first-team set-up.
Having previously represented England at Under-18s and U19s level, he stepped up to feature for the Three Lions’ U20s in September 2025, and made his Brentford debut a month later from the substitutes' bench in a 5-0 Carabao Cup victory against Grimsby Town.
Donovan’s first start for the club followed in January against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup, while he made his Premier League bow a week later against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The attacking midfielder totalled nine first-team appearances across all competitions in 2025/26.
