Brentford goalkeeper Matt Cox has joined Barnet on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old will spend the 2026/27 campaign at The Hive under manager Dean Brennan in Sky Bet League Two.
Cox joined Brentford B from AFC Wimbledon in July 2021 before being promoted to the first-team squad a year later.
The goalkeeper spent the 2023/24 term on loan at League One side Bristol Rovers, making 34 appearances in all competitions.
He returned to the third tier with Crawley Town in January 2025 but suffered an injury in his third appearance for the club and subsequently returned to west London.
Cox spent the second half of last season on loan with Shrewsbury Town, making 18 League Two appearances and keeping six clean sheets.
The keeper is a former England youth international and was part of the Young Lions squad that won the 2022 UEFA European Under-19s Championship, starting four of their five matches and earning a place in the Team of the Tournament.
Cox went on to make seven appearances for England U20s and was called up to the England U21s squad on three occasions.
