Kaye Furo has been named Premier League 2 Player of the Month for August following an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign.

The 19-year-old played every minute of Brentford Under-21s’ first two PL2 fixtures, scoring four goals and registering an assist as Sam Saunders’ side began life in the competition with back-to-back victories.

Furo was selected from an eight-player shortlist, which also featured Carrick Njinko, Luke Howard, Jaydan Kamason, Josh Landers, Chibby Nwoko, Jayden Quashie and Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi.

The Belgian youth international opened the scoring in the Bees’ first-ever PL2 fixture as they recorded a 3-2 win away at Stoke City on 21 August.

He followed that with a hat-trick in Brentford’s 5-1 victory over Sunderland at Wheatsheaf Park, scoring inside the opening minute before adding two further goals after the break.

The forward also provided the assist for Fábio Carvalho as the Bees made it two wins from two in their first season at Category One level.

Furo joined Brentford from Club Brugge in January 2026 and has since continued his development in west London, while also featuring as part of Keith Andrews’ first-team squad.

His four goals helped Brentford finish August with a perfect PL2 record and earned him the competition’s first Player of the Month award of the 2026/27 season.
