Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has made nine changes to the Bees side that beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Saturday, as the west Londoners take on Bournemouth in round two of the Carabao Cup.

Sepp van den Berg and Kevin Schade are the only players who keep their place for the trip to Vitality Stadium, as they feature in a strong side that contains plenty of Premier League and international experience.

Rico Henry, Mathias Jensen, Antoni Milambo and Fábio Carvalho make their second starts of this term, having featured from the off against Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the campaign.

Aaron Hickey makes his first competitive start for almost two years due to injury, as he comes in at right-back. The 23-year-old was last named in a starting XI in October 2023, when he played in a 2-0 win over west London rivals Chelsea.

Iceland international Hákon Valdimarsson will be between the sticks, just as he was in round two of the Carabao Cup last year, when the Bees beat Colchester United 1-0, with the keeper saving a penalty at JobServe Community Stadium.

Kristoffer Ajer, Ethan Pinnock and Frank Onyeka also make their first starts of the season.

After a goal on his Brentford debut, Dango Ouattara returns to the club that he signed for the Bees from, and is named on the bench.
