Head coach Keith Andrews has made five changes to Brentford’s starting XI for this afternoon’s Premier League game against Burnley at Turf Moor (3pm kick-off GMT).

Michael Kayode returns after missing the 2-0 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, replacing the injured Aaron Hickey in the Bees' side.

Goalkeeper Hákon Valdimarsson also comes into the team for the absent Caoimhín Kelleher. On Kelleher, Andrews stated: "Caoimhín’s partner had a baby. We are delighted for them and we wish them well, but he couldn’t play today."

The other changes see Mikkel Damsgaard, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Kevin Schade replace Vitaly Janelt, Jordan Henderson and Keane Lewis-Potter, with the latter two named among the substitutes and Janelt unavailable with a knock.

19-year-old defender Ollie Shield is named on a Premier League bench for the first time, alongside Brentford B midfielder Luka Bentt, who made his debut in the FA Cup against Macclesfield.
