Brentford head coach Thomas Frank provided an injury update before the Bees’ Premier League game against Ipswich Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off BST).
Frank’s side are seeking a fourth-successive victory at Portman Road having beaten Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United in recent weeks.
“Everyone who was ready for Man United is available again,” Frank revealed.
“We got Igor Thiago in the squad against Man United, and also on the pitch, so we were very pleased with that.
“Igor is over the worst part and getting into training; now it’s just about giving him the right load like with any player, whether it’s a joint infection, hamstring or an ankle.
“Now he just needs to be fit enough to compete. We pushed him a bit hard to be available for the squad because we needed him. He will not start, but he had a good week of training this week, another good week next week, and we will go from there.”
Full-back Aaron Hickey, who hasn’t made a first-team appearance since October 2023 due to a hamstring injury, assisted Paris Maghoma’s goal in Brentford Under-21s’ 3-0 victory over Barnsley Under-21s on Monday.
“He is getting closer,” said Frank. “He’s short of being in the next squad but hopefully he can be involved in one of the last two games. Let’s see. It’s about building him correctly.”
Midfielder Vitaly Janelt will not play again this season having had surgery to address an issue in his heel.
Fábio Carvalho (shoulder) is also unlikely to feature again this campaign, while Josh Dasilva (knee) remains sidelined.
