Everyone at Brentford FC was deeply saddened to learn that former director and chairman Eddie Rogers passed away last week, aged 78.

Eddie was on the board of Brentford FC as an investor director from 1999 to 2014 and served as chairman from April 2003 to January 2006. After he stepped down, he continued to play an important supporting role as an associate director of the club.

“I was very sad to hear of the sudden passing of Eddie Rogers," said Cliff Crown, chair of Brentford FC.

“Eddie was a gentleman and had been instrumental in keeping the club going through difficult times. He was incredibly proud of our achievement in reaching the Premier League and took great delight in taking his seat in the new stadium.

“Rest in peace, Eddie.”

Eddie leaves behind his wife Margaret; his children Hannah, Stefani and Martin; and grandchildren Jamie, Oscar and Isabella. The club sends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
