Brentford's Sky Bet Championship fixture against Barnsley later this month has been moved. The teams were due to play on Saturday 13 February but Barnsley will now face Chelsea in an Emirates FA Cup tie next Thursday, 11 February. Brentford will now host Barnsley on Sunday 14 February in a match that will kick-off at 1pm.

The Bees will be looking to complete a Sky Bet Championship double over Barnsley, having won 1-0 in Yorkshire in November. Ivan Toney scored the only goal that night, heading in a corner. That was the third game in an unbeaten run away from home in the Championship that now stands at eight.

Barnsley currently sit 12th in the Championship standings, having taken 36 points from their 27 games. Their two FA Cup wins in 2021 are their only victories this year and after winning their last two league games of 2020, Barnsley have not won in five Championship fixtures. They have won four of 14 games away from home this season.

Barnsley have a very good recent record against The Bees in West London, having not lost in the three recent second tier meetings. Barnsley have won two of those, including, memorably, on the final day of last season when they scored in the dying seconds to take three points and avoid relegation. Bees fans, of course, know that if Brentford had scored and won the game that would have been enough to clinch promotion to the Premier League.
