Danish international forward Lasse Vibe has joined Brentford from IFK Göteborg for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old, who has nine international caps to his name, completed the move to West London, which is subject to international clearance, after passing a medical.

He has signed a three year deal and is under contract with Brentford until the summer of 2018.

Lasse could make his first appearance in a Brentford shirt in the pre-season friendly against Stoke City at Griffin Park tomorrow, Saturday 25 July.

It is the second attacking player Brentford have signed in the past 24 hours with Germany Under-21 international Philipp Hofmann joining from 1.FC Kaiserslautern yesterday.

"Lasse Vibe brings a lot of experience to our young squad. He can play in all positions in the front line and scored a lot of goals last season.

Lasse, who can play through the middle or on the wing, has played in all five of Denmark’s qualifiers for the UEFA European Championships 2016, scoring once.

He started his career at Aarhus Gymnastikforening, better known as AGF Aarhus, but moved on to FC Fyn and then FC Vestsjælland, where he made his name scoring goals in the Danish second tier.

Lasse moved in to the Danish top tier with SønderjyskE and scored 19 goals in a season and a half, 47 games, there before a move to Göteborg in 2013.

He scored 29 goals in all competitions in the 2014 Swedish season and followed that up with 13 in 23 games so far in the 2015 season as Göteborg lead the table just past the halfway point of the campaign.
