We are pleased to announce the signing of Iwan Morgan who will join the B team on a three-year contract.

The 17-year-old forward will head to west London from Swansea City having come through the ranks at the south Wales club. Prior to his time with the Swans, he was also part of the youth set up at Cardiff City.

Last season Morgan was a key player for Swansea’s under-18 side as he helped himself to 28 goals whilst claiming four hat-tricks in the process over the course of the season in an impressive campaign.

He also went on to get game time with the under-21 side for Swansea and he netted his first goal for them in January 2022 in a 3-3 draw with Burnley.

Morgan is also a youth international for Wales and featured for his country in the Under-17 UEFA European Championships earlier this summer. He netted two goals against Poland as he helped the side to their first win at a major tournament in the under-17 age group.

Discussing Morgan’s arrival in west London, Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: “This season’s B team group has become younger and really exciting and we’re bringing in a striker who has proven he can score goals.

“He is somebody who likes to play on the last line and also has an incredible work ethic. He brings a really good pressing capacity at the top end of the pitch. Like all of our players there will be aspects in their development which we will work on and we look forward to seeing Iwan’s progression in the coming seasons.”
