Brentford B have signed Czech Republic winger Matej Majka from AC Sparta Prague on a two-year deal, subject to international clearance.

Matej, 18, completed his medical with the Club earlier this week at Brentford's Jersey Road training ground. He then signed forms to become a member of Kevin O'Connor's squad, confirming his move away from the Generali Arena.

The pacey wideman, who was also deployed at fullback a few times last season, started his career with The Reds in his home country, and has played at various youth levels for Czech Republic.

His last goals for Sparta came in a 5-0 win over Under-19 rivals Ceske Budejovice on 16 May 2018. Matej netted a brace in the first half before his teammates joined in on the act and completed the rout.

B Team Head Coach Kevin O'Connor said: "We're pleased that Matej has joined us this summer. He will certainly add quality on the wing, which is an area that we felt needed strengthening this season.

"We are a team that likes to play football and get the ball out to the wing, which is where Matej will make a big contribution throughout this campaign. He is quick and calm on the ball, and we look forward to seeing how far he can develop his talents at Brentford."
