Joe had been in and around the first team squad with The Shakers and made six appearances for the club during his time there in Sky Bet League One, The Emirates FA Cup and the EFL Trophy.
Joe steadily settled into life in London and began to feature more regularly as the season progressed.
The energetic forward often does well to close down defenders and possesses a real work rate. Later on in the campaign the youngster also excelled in a wing back role on the right-hand side and became a really effective outlet for Neil MacFarlane’s team.
The 19-year-old chipped in with five goals last season and turned provider on five occasions as well.
Overall he turned out 33 times for the young Bees last season with a total of 1,916 minutes, helping them to some impressive results as the side spent time across Europe as well as played men’s sides within the UK and some U23 opponents.
Joe will be looking to kick on during his second year with the club as he bids to continue his development.
