Brentford return to action after a two week break for international fixtures and even though they cannot be there, Bees fans will be tuning in, supporting their team and helping out a fellow fan. As announced earlier this week, a special donation will be made by all fans who watch today's game against Wycombe Wanderers. Today's match, which will kick-off at 3pm, will be behind closed doors but supporters can watch on iFollow Brentford and help a member of the Bees family. And Bees United, the Brentford Supporters' Trust, will also be doing their bit.
Brentford FC will donate all iFollow income from the Wycombe game to help pay for supporter Jamie Powell to have vital cancer treatment. And Bees United have said they will also donate an additional £2 for every match pass bought. See more below.
Purchase your video (£10) or audio (£2.50) iFollow match pass, support the team and help a fellow fan in the process.
Jamie is currently undergoing treatment in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston (USA). He is a lifelong Bees fan and Season Ticket Holder and has rarely missed a match. Jamie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (a rare and aggressive bone cancer) of the skull earlier this year and while Massachusetts General Hospital have confirmed they can treat Jamie with Proton Beam Therapy, this treatment will cost a considerable amount of money as it will need to be paid for privately.
Many Brentford fans and indeed football fans from other Clubs have already donated to this worthwhile cause on Jamie’s JustGiving page, and we’re looking to do our bit to help Jamie and his family reach their fundraising goal. Watch The Bees #ForJamie this weekend, with 100 per cent of income from iFollow being donated to Jamie’s treatment.
