Brentford were hit with a late goal as Charlton struck late to secure a point against the side from west London.
Adam Poliakov and Enrique Roca were on the scoresheet for the young Bees in what was a close encounter in south-east London.
Brentford U18s were looking to build on last week's victory against Cardiff City as the young Bees ran out 4-2 winners in that game.
The game started with the young Bees fashioning and taking their first opportunity in the opening moments of the game. Adam Poliakov surged through on goal and finished expertly.
Charlton managed to level the scores with three minutes till the half-time whistle but the young Bees hit back almost instantly through Roca. Poliakov's skill on the wing and resulting cross caused mayhem in the box, and Roca was composed as he drilled into the back of the net.
The second period was tough for Brentford as they had to defend for long periods of the game; an Aidan Golding block to deny a great chance for the hosts, was one of the many highlights of the game.
Trialist A in goal, made a number of tremendous stops to deny the home side.
The young Addicks eventually got their goal to level the scores once again as second-half substitute Tate Elliot peeled off at the back post and diverted his header into the goal.
That was how the game would end as the Jon-Paul Pittman's side had to settle for a point.
The Under-18s are next in action on Saturday 1 March as they take on Colchester United
