The Bees have been on a great run of form with wins over Celtic reserves and AFC Wimbledon’s first team, and they followed those efforts up with an emphatic win at Earlsmead where the Dane netted a hat-trick.

Speaking after the match, the forward said: “I’m absolutely buzzing, it was a great performance from the team and getting three goals is always good.

“In pre-season I don’t think we’d have been able to win like this, so I think it shows how far we’ve come as a team.”

Discussing his three goals, Gustav says he is enjoying playing in the team with players who are creating a host of chances throughout the 90 minutes.

He continued: “The first one came from a through ball from (Jaden) Brissett and I took it around the keeper to finish and the second one came from Nick (Tsaroulla) playing a great ball in behind and I was through one-v-one with the keeper, and the third was a penalty.

“I’m buzzing, the team is playing so good at the moment and we’re on a good win streak. We’re creating space for each other.

“Harrow were pressing really well in the beginning, and after we got the first goal it was perfect for us and we managed to get the second and third which was great.”
