Griffin Park will play host to an evening of celebration when Brentford face Sheffield Wednesday as the Club marks its 125th anniversary.
The Bees host Wednesday in a Sky Bet Championship match on Tuesday October 21.
The match has been chosen as the official celebration of Brentford’s 125th anniversary.
Brentford FC was formed at a meeting on October 10 1889 with a formal decision to play association football rather than rugby football taken six days later.
The game against Sheffield Wednesday comes just five days after it was first decided there would be a Brentford FC.
Peter Gelson, who is one of only four men to play more than 500 games for Brentford, will be one of the Club’s special guests on the evening.
Andy McCulloch and Andy Sinton – who starred in the colours of both The Bees and Sheffield Wednesday – will also be on the guest list, as will Steve Phillips, along with Brentford Hall of Famers Alan Hawley, Jackie Graham and Bobby Ross.
There will be a special giveaway for everyone who attends and events on the evening to celebrate 125 years of Brentford FC.
