Andreas Bjelland has been added to Åge Hareide’s Denmark squad for their upcoming 2018 World Cup Qualifiers against Poland and Montenegro. The Danes travel to Warsaw to take on Poland next Saturday before returning to the Telia Parken in Copenhagen to face Montenegro on Tuesday 11 October. Denmark currently top Group E after a 1-0 opening day win over Armenia.
The 28-year-old won the last of his 21 Danish caps, for whom he has scored twice, against Montenegro in July 2015 before a serious knee injury, picked up in the League Cup game against Oxford United last August, kept him out for the rest of his first season at Griffin Park. Andreas made his return in last month’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday and has gone on to start three of our last four league games.
