Brentford Football Club Ambassador Andy Lapthorne will go for gold this weekend.
Andy, a Bees fan who acts as a Disabled Ambassador for the Club and Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust, will begin his quest for a gold medal at the London 2012 Paralympic Games on Sunday.
Andy is one of ten players in the Great Britain Wheelchair Tennis squad for the games, which started on Wednesday, and one of three in the quad classification.
He is entered in the singles and will partner Peter Norfolk, who carried the British flag at the Opening Ceremony earlier this week, in the doubles.
The first matches in the singles are scheduled for Sunday at the Eton Manor Tennis Centre, which is close to the Velodrome in the Olympic Park.
Andy is set to play Anders Hard of Sweden in his opening contest.
If he wins he will be through to the Quarter Finals.
It has already been a successful 2012 for Andy.
With Peter Norfolk, he has won the BNP Paribas French Open doubles as well as the Florida Open doubles and the Australian Open doubles.
He reached the semi-finals of the singles at the French Open and won the Quad Singles title at the Cajun Classic in Baton Rouge.
With Peter Norfolk and Jamie Burdekin, he helped Great Britain win a silver medal in the quad event at the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in South Korea.
