Brentford defender Alfie Mawson has been nominated for the top award in Sky Bet League Two.
Alfie joined The Bees in 2010 from Reading as a 16-year-old and went on to complete a two-year scholarship before signing a first professional deal in 2012.
The tall defender enjoyed spells out on loan at Maidenhead United, Luton Town and Welling United and made his Brentford debut in the Capital One Cup defeat to Derby County in August 2013.
Before joining Wycombe Wanderers at the start of this season Alfie hadn't played a minute in the Football League.
This season he has started 42 of The Chairboys 43 league matches, scoring five goals, as Gareth Ainsworth's side currently occupy the final automatic promotion place in League Two.
Alfie has scored four goals in his last nine matches and was named in the Football League Team of the Week for his performance in the win over Cheltenham Town at the weekend.
