Alan Bird has been re-appointed to the Board of Directors of Brentford Football Club.
Alan first joined the Board in December 2007 as a nominee of Supporters’ Trust Bees United, which held the majority shareholding at that point, and then carried on as an appointed director.
He worked as Finance Director as part of a three-man Executive at the Club from January 2008 until he decided to stand down from the Board in January 2012.
At a Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 27, Alan was re-appointed to the Board as a non-executive director.
He will join the Club’s eight other directors – Chairman Greg Dyke, Cliff Crown, David Heath, John Herting, Donald Kerr, David Merritt, Eddie Rogers and Philip Whall – on the Board.
Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, welcomed Alan back on to the Board.
He added: “Alan is a respected figure around the Brentford FC community and his financial background and experience will be of great assistance to our Finance Team in preparing detailed financial forecasts for future seasons within both League One and, we all hope, The Championship.
“It is good to have Alan back on board.”
