Under the Football Association's Agent Regulations, clubs are required to make public the total paid to authorised agents and exempt solicitors during the period October 1 2013 to September 30 2014.
Brentford Football Club paid £613,714.70 to authorised agents and exempt solicitors during the period in question.
Frank McParland, Brentford Football Club Sporting Director, said: “When I arrived at Brentford last December I was informed of the Club’s strict policy regarding agency fees.
“That has continued with contracts and deals I have negotiated and I have ensured we never pay above a set agreed percentage on any contract.
“We seek best value for every transaction but it is important to recognise that to secure a higher quality of player, as we climb the football ladder, agency involvement is unavoidable.
“We try to work with agents who conduct their business in a professional and respectful manner and we understand that all parties need to benefit from the relevant deal.
“Agents can help clubs secure the players they need and also enable players to focus on their football and not off-the-field matters, which will help them produce better performances.
“It is important that all of our supporters know that this very important area of expenditure is closely monitored and controlled to the best of our ability."
