Jack Uttridge’s professional contract at Brentford Football Club has now started.
The defender, who joined The Bees from Histon on a short-term Academy contract towards the end of the 2012/13 season, was offered a one-year professional contract to join the Club’s Development Squad.
The 18-year-old left-sided defender played two games for the Club’s Development Squad last season, scoring once, and five times for the Youth Team.
He was offered a deal after a successful trial.
Jack signed a one-year deal that started on July 1 and has reported for pre-season training.
Brentford can also confirm that Sam Beale has left the Club.
The left back completed his two-year scholarship this summer but was only able to play for the Development Squad in 2012/13 because of his age.
He was out injured for most of last season and was invited back for pre-season training but has now moved on.
Trialists Paul White and Chinua Cole have not been taken on by the Club.
