Mads Bech Sorensen reflects on his injury return

Mads played the first 45 minutes on Sunday afternoon as Brentford B picked up an impressive 3-1 win over Aberdeen Reserves, and the defender says he was delighted to be back out on the pitch.

He explained: ā€œIt was such a nice feeling. I’ve been waiting for three months now so it was great to be back, and it was a great win. I played 45 minutes and I feel really good. The rehab has been great, so I feel fit.

ā€œWe played a very good first half where they didn’t have many chances and we created a lot and came out with good energy. All in all, it was a good game from us, of course we conceded one goal from a set piece, but apart from that we had a good game.ā€

Having come through the match with Aberdeen, Mads will be targeting some more game time with Brentford B to get more minutes under his belt to put him back into first team contention.

He continued: ā€œNow I just need to play some more games for the B team and build my fitness. I got injured the day before the first pre-season game, so it was very frustrating after looking forward to the new season, because I’d played a lot last season towards the end, so it was frustrating. I can’t wait, I’ll give 100% and I’m ready.ā€
