Heart of West London raises awareness of CPR

Chelsea fixture

At our Premier League match against Chelsea FC (19 October), Brentford FC raised awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. As part of this year’s Restart a Heart campaign, Resuscitation Council UK and Pablo London created the heart shaped “CPQR code” which aims to increase survival rates by expanding the numbers of people who know the basic principles of CPR and defibrillation.

There were a number of chances to learn CPR and speak to experts around the stadium. The CPQR code featured prominently on the front of the shirts, screens and digital platforms to encourage millions watching around the world to take two minutes to learn the basics of CPR.

Scan it. Learn it. Save a life.

LEARN CPR

Have a go at CPR.

There were various opportunities to learn CPR so you feel more confident if you ever find yourself in a situation requiring CPR.

Look out for Mads Roerslev and Keane Lewis-Potter's CPR video and find a team of experts from Resuscitation Council UK in the family area to teach you how to do CPR.

Performing CPR can more than double the chance of survival in some cases so take time to learn it.

SPEAK TO EXPERTS

We were joined at the stadium by experts from Resuscitation Council UK and London Ambulance Service.

They were located around the stadium to provide key information about cardiac health and CPR, have a friendly chat and provide useful tips and advice to reduce your cardiac risk.
