Thomas Frank insisted that Brentford’s unbeaten run in the Premier League doesn’t create extra pressure for his players.

The Bees haven’t tasted defeated in 11 league games – a run that stretches back to October.

“I don’t speak about winning and losing; I speak about performing well,” said Frank.

“If we do our job, and we perform well, then we will have a good chance to win.

“Of course, it’s the Premier League - the greatest and most difficult league in the world. The margins are so small.

“Speaking about our opponent on Monday, historically, they are a bigger club than us. And they are above us in the table.

“But we know that we have a good chance of winning. I try to keep reinforcing the right messages in terms of the performance aspect. We constantly need to work hard – that’s the key thing. We can’t be complacent; we can’t think it will come by itself.”

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored an 88th-minute goal to settle a pulsating game in August - the fifth goal scored on an afternoon that saw the Bees fight back from two goals down to level.

And Frank said he was expecting another entertaining encounter on Monday night.

“I hope for the spectators, yes, but with an opposite result would be fantastic,” he smiled. “Us winning 3-2 with almost a last-minute winner would be fantastic.

“We went very offensive, got the equaliser, and then I went for 3-2. That bounced back a little and we lost 3-2.

“But it’s important that we have an offensive mindset, because if we do it enough times, hopefully we’ll get three points rather than one. A draw would have been a good, fair result for both, but fair play to Fulham.

“It was a game with two good teams in it and Mitrovic decided to finish it off, like he has done many times. He is a massive player for them – he is very, very good.

“I will be a very intense game again. It’s two teams who want to press with intensity and work very hard in many ways. Hopefully we can edge it.”
