Brentford have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

On Saturday, Brentford made it back-to-back Premier League wins by easing past Bournemouth in Gameweek 18.

Igor Thiago (£7.0m) punished the 1.25 million FPL managers who sold him by setting up the first of three Kevin Schade (£7.0m) strikes. In the end, they were fortunate that nothing else came for the Brazilian.

At the back, Nathan Collins (£4.9m), Michael Kayode (£4.5m) and Kristoffer Ajer (£4.4m) all notched defensive contribution (DefCon) points; as did midfielder Vitaly Janelt (£4.9m).

Only the league’s top-three teams boast a better home record than Brentford ahead of a clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Gtech Community Stadium on New Year’s Day.

The Spotlight

For two consecutive Gameweeks, a Brentford player has recorded the highest FPL score. Last time, it was Keane Lewis-Potter (£4.9m), who is listed as a defender in the game.

In GW18, German international Schade racked up a ‘perfect’ hat-trick and 20 points.

He outmuscled Bafodé Diakité to score an early left-footed opener, before adding a second when he met Yehor Yarmoliuk’s (£5.0m) pin-point pass. Schade then missed his third big chance of the afternoon though there remained time to head in a Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.8m) cross.

As a result, the 24-year-old now ranks as the fifth-best midfielder for close-range attempts (28) and shots on target (16). Only Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) has had more big chances (10).

Best of the Rest

After Schade, the best score belonged to Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu (£4.1m). He added a goal, DefCon points and maximum bonus to his clean sheet, accumulating a tally of 17.

Elsewhere, Ollie Watkins (£8.5m) came off the bench to inspire Aston Villa’s sensational comeback victory at Chelsea, taking them to 12 wins from 13.

Earlier on Saturday, thrilling attacker Rayan Cherki (£6.7m) briefly put Manchester City top of the league thanks to his goal and assist at Nottingham Forest. To the annoyance of over 3.64 million managers who’d benched him, Martin Dúbravka (£4.0m) delivered a clean sheet and an 11-point haul.

In Demand

There are only four days between these two FPL deadlines, meaning there’s not a lot of time for transfer trends to form.

As Ruben Amorim isn’t giving a timeline for the recovery of Bruno Fernandes’ (£9.1m) hamstring, the playmaker is still being offloaded more than anyone else.

Cherki, Matheus Cunha (£8.1m) and Morgan Rogers (£7.4m) are all popular replacements, with the trio combining encouraging form with promising fixtures.

Captaincy

Erling Haaland (£15.1m) had a quiet time at the City Ground, putting two shots off target, but it’s hard to ever truly back against the Norwegian. Many will give him the armband for his trip to Sunderland.

Fellow forward Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m) only mustered an assist at the weekend but scored twice in Gameweek 15’s reverse meeting with Leeds United.

Cunha is a popular candidate at home to his former club Wolves.
