Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has confirmed that Christian Norgaard, Kristoffer Ajer and Thomas Strakosha will all miss the Bees' clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Norgaard is currently out with an Achilles issue that kept him out of our 2-0 win over Chelsea, Strakosha has a calf problem, while Ajer played 70 minutes for the B team in their 2-1 Premier League Cup victory on Thursday.

When asked about vice-captain Norgaard, Frank stated: "The latest update is that he will be out for the weekend. We will see and assess him for the rest of the season."

On Ajer and Strakosha, he added: "No, it's too early [for Ajer] but it was very nice to see him play last night.

"[Strakosha] will also be out for the weekend but hopefully, hopefully, hopefully he'll be back soon."

Frank will be without that trio for the game against Steve Cooper's side at the Gtech Community Stadium this weekend.

Forest currently sit 17th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone, with five games to play this season.

When asked about the challenge of facing a side with it all to play for at the bottom of the division, Frank said: "We also have lots to play for! We want to get the next win and finish as high as possible - that's very important to us.

"But, yeah, I understand that maybe they have the knife to their throat a little bit, in terms of the relegation battle.

"I think that they've done very well in their first season in the Premier League in many years.

"After a spell where they didn't win but they were in a lot of games, they finally got over the line against Brighton in a well-deserved win, after watching that game back.

"Steve Cooper and his staff have done a top job."
