Brentford Women return to Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday as they face Sevenoaks Town in League Cup action (3pm kick-off).
The clash will be the Bees' first in the League Cup this season, with the west Londoners entering the competition in the second round.
Off the back of two close defeats in the FA Cup and London and South East Premier Division, Carly Williams’ side will be eyeing a return to winning ways this weekend.
Last time out
The Bees suffered a tough 1-0 defeat to Saltdean United last time out, their first league defeat of the season.
The difference proved to be a first-half stoppage time goal from Saltdean’s Naomi Robinson, enough to help the side replace Brentford at the top of the table.
In last season’s League Cup, the Bees enjoyed wins over Sport London E Benfica (2-0) and Saltdean (5-4), the latter seeing Nikki Woods score an extra-time winner at Bedfont.
The west Londoners’ campaign ended at the hands of rivals Fulham away from home.
