Brentford Women return to Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday 7 September as they host Sutton United Women in the London South East Premier division.

The Bees will look to make it four wins from four after a fine start to life in tier five.

Brentford currently sit fourth in the division after a perfect start, winning their opening three games whilst simultaneously keeping clean sheets in every fixture so far.

Aylesford's third win in a row on Thursday night means they leapfrogged the west Londoners in the table, making the opening day away win against them more impressive.

It’s been an excellent beginning at Brentford for head coach Carly Williams who joined in the summer as her squad continue to gel and play some superb football.

Sunday will be Williams second home game in charge of the west Londoners after marking her first game at Bedfont Sports Club with a 4-0 win over Newhaven.

Last time out

Brentford got off to a flying start in their last game away at Barking when Khyri McKenzie opened the scoring in just 8 seconds to score her first goal for the club.

Regan Graver then opened her account for the season, nodding in from close range in the second half, before Chelsie Berry scored her first goal for the first team to wrap up a perfect 3-0 away performance.

The Bees have now scored eight goals without answer across their opening three, whilst building a new style of football under Williams.

“In terms of the performance that I wanted and in terms of us showing character, I think that was there in the first half," explained Williams after the victory.

“There’s still some consistency needed, we’re certainly showing glimpses, it’s now about putting it all together to get a complete performance from the team.

“It’s about us being organised and disciplined with the club value: togetherness. We do everything together; we stick together and ride the tough moments and make sure we are going after what we want to and stick to our plan.”

About Sutton

Having played one more game than Williams’ side, Sutton have had a mixed start to their campaign, winning once, drawing once and losing twice in their opening four games.

The south Londoners finished ninth in the LSE Premier Division last season, earning 22 points which placed them two spots above the relegation zone.

Amelia Cutler finished as the top scorer for Sutton last season on 11 goals, whereas this year Gabrielle Williams will be the one to watch, having scored three goals already.

Brentford’s summer signing Ilana Harris-Walters joined the club from Sutton, so will be looking to get one over her old side on Sunday.
