Brentford Under-21s will face Bournemouth Under-21s on Friday afternoon in the Professional Development League at Wheatsheaf Park (2pm kick-off GMT).

Following their comprehensive win over Watford last time out, the west Londoners will be aiming to secure back-to-back victories as they look to build momentum heading into the end of the year.

The young Bees’ most recent outing came during their mid-season training camp in Spain, where they were held to a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Mérida. After falling behind early on, Luca Picotto netted his first goal for the club, finishing confidently following excellent build-up play from Gustavo Nunes.

In league action, Brentford’s last match saw them produce a commanding 4-0 victory over Watford at Wheatsheaf Park. The young Bees were dominant throughout, showcasing fluid attacking football and clinical finishing in front of goal.

Sam Saunders’ side now turn their attention to Bournemouth, who are expected to provide a strong challenge. Brentford will be aiming to carry their momentum into this fixture and make it two wins from two in the Professional Development League.
