Iñaki Caña Pavón

Goalkeeping Coach

Iñaki joined the Club from Danish side FC Nordsjælland in summer 2018, taking over the role from the departing Simon Royce.

Iñaki had been at Nordsjælland for 18 months and helped them finish third in the table in the 2017/18 season, their best finish for five years. He has also worked at a collection of clubs in Spain and in the academy of Futbol Club Barcelona, where he started as a player. Iñaki played for Barcelona C before moving in to coaching, having come through the ranks at the Catalan giants.

The Spaniard created his own goalkeeper academy in Barcelona in 2013. He has overseen it, along with his work in professional football, for the past five years. Iñaki worked at Centre d'Esports Sabadell Futbol Club, in the third tier of Spanish football, before moving to Nordsjælland in January 2017.

Co-Director of Football Phil Giles said at the time of his appointment: "He is a coach with a strong reputation and is well known to us through our Danish contacts. We are very confident that he will make a big impact with our goalkeepers and that they will continue to develop and improve with Iñaki's help."
