Brentford B signed Arthur Read from Luton Town on a one-year deal in the summer of 2019.

Read joined The Hatters as an Under-9 player and remained there prior to moving to Griffin Park. His professional debut came in 2016, coming on as a substitute in Luton's EFL Trophy defeat to Millwall at Kenilworth Road. In total, he made seven appearances for The Oranges, scoring his first senior goal in December 2018 against Southend United.

Last season, he made his debut in a league competition away from the Club as a loanee for Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South.

He is the second member of the B squad to have come through the Luton academy, following on from fullback Cole Dasilva.

Arthur has endured a positive 2019/20 season with the young Bees so far having turned out some assured displays in matches in Spain, France and Portugal. The dynamic midfielder also has the ability to get forward and score goals, and has netted against the likes of Harrow Borough in the London Senior Cup.
