Brentford FC Women’s B team will be vying to make history as they take part in the first-ever final of the Greater London Women's Football League’s new anniversary trophy. The Women's B Team face Islington Borough LFC in the competition next Sunday, 22 May, at Bedfont Sports Club.

Brentford will face tough competition against their opponents who currently sit third in the Greater London Women's Football League’s Premier League. The Brentford FC Women’s B v Islington Borough LFC match kicks off at 1:30pm at Bedfont Sports Ground with gates opening at 12.30pm.

Last time out in the competition, Brentford were able to edge out Headstone Manor winning a penalty shoot-out following their 1-1 draw. Headstone had the best of a cagey first half, coming close to scoring at 15 minutes in. However, it was Brentford who were able to break the deadlock in the second half as centre-midfielder Kasey Clifford found forward Chloe Logie to make it 1-0.

Headstone Manor responded immediately with a goal of their own to tie the game 1-1 before heading into penalties. The Bees won the semi-final shoot-out 4-1 with left-back Chloe Webb scoring the winning spot kick. Goalkeeper Emily Boycott also kept two out from the opposition in an almost perfect performance from the spot for the team.

Away from the trophy, Brentford FC Women’s B also have one more game remaining in the league as they take on Hackney Womens FC Reserves on Sunday, 15 May, at Bedfont Sports Ground. Brentford currently sit fourth in the table with 29 points and three places up from Sunday’s opponents. See the full table and latest results here.
