The side were away from home against Fylkir in the Icelandic Cup but they were beaten 2-1 in Reykjavik. The goals for the home side came either side of half-time, on 44 minutes and then on 47 minutes to put them in control. Alex Hilmarsson then pulled a goal back seven minutes from time but they ultimately fell to defeat.

Hans started the match and played the first half before being substituted and he will be aiming for more minutes when the side face Stjarnan away from home on Sunday as they return to league acton. They are currently 11th in the league table having claimed three points from their first seven games. Sunday's opponents are third in the table with 14 points.
