Match Preview: Bradford City AFC v Brentford B

Young Bees to take on League Two side shortly

3 May 2022

Brentford B will face Bradford City today in a 12pm kick-off at the Utilita Energy Stadium in what will be a behind closed doors fixture.

The young Bees will face Mark Hughes’ side in what will be a fantastic test as they aim to build on their London Senior Cup Final win over Hendon last time out.

About Bradford City

Bradford compete in Sky Bet League Two and are currently 14th in the league table ahead of their final game of the season on Saturday as they host Carlisle United.

Last time out they claimed a 4-1 win away from home at Sutton United in what was an impressive result as they ended Sutton’s 19-game unbeaten home run. The goals came from Charles Vernam (2), Yann Songo’o and Andy Cook which made it back-to-back wins for the side having also beaten Scunthorpe United. In charge of Bradford is Mark Hughes, who has previously managed clubs such as Manchester City, Fulham, Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City and Southampton following an incredibly successful playing career.

Last Time Out

It was Cup success for The Bees last week as they beat Hendon on penalties 3-0 following a 1-1 draw at Dulwich Hamlet’s Champion Hill.
