Marcus Forss has been called in to the Finland squad for a series of upcoming international matches. The striker has spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Hull City in the Sky Bet Championship. He will end the campaign as part of his international squad.

Finland will be starting their UEFA Nations League campaign next month. They are in League B Group Three along with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Montenegro. They will play six games as they attempt to win promotion to League A and have four of them coming up in the next three weeks.

Finland will host Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday 4 June and then Montenegro three days later. They will then travel to Romania on Saturday 11 June and finish this set of fixtures in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday 14 June. Marcus is part of a 27-player group for the matches.

Marcus has been with Brentford since 2017, initially joining as part of the B Team group. He was moved to the First Team squad in the summer of 2018 and scored on his professional debut in an EFL Cup tie against Southend United in the August of that year. In four full seasons as a Brentford First Team player, he has scored 19 goals in 74 appearances.

Marcus has been a key part of the Finland squad over the past two years. He has earned 12 caps and scored two international goals. He played for Finland in the delayed UEFA 2020 European Championships, held last summer, but was unable to help his country qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this coming winter.
