Michael Cheek grabbed the game’s only goal to give Bromley the trophy in a game where our on loan goalkeeper played the full 90 minutes, rounding off his loan spell in excellent fashion having gained significant minutes since joining up with the National League side earlier this year.

There were lots of other fixtures abroad with seasons coming to an end for more of our players. There was a huge match in Australia as Lachlan Brook’s Adelaide United faced Melbourne City in the second leg of their A-League Semi-Final. It was ultimately disappointment for the side who were beaten 2-1 after extra-time on Sunday. The sides went into the game level at 0-0 after the first leg in Adelaide but United went ahead on 48 minutes through Zach Clough. Melbourne hit back on 74 minutes through Marco Tilio which sent the match to extra-time where Jamie Maclaren swept home to put Melbourne into the Final where they will face Western United on Saturday. Lachlan was a 70th minute substitute on the day.

Looking to action in Denmark, Mads Bidstrup rounded off his time with FC Nordsjælland as they twice came from behind against AGF to claim a 2-2 draw. Simon Adingra and Benjamin Nygren got on the scoresheet for Nordsjælland in a game where Mads got another 90 minutes of game time under his belt which means they finish the season third in their table with 36 points after the league split earlier in the campaign into Championship and relegation tables. In the division below, Luka Racic played the full game for HB Køge as they travelled to Vendsyssel and drew 1-1. They fell behind on 10 minutes but hit back through Casper Jørgensen on 54 minutes. They play their final match of the season on 28 May as they host Hobro.

In Iceland Hans Mpongo featured once again for Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (ÍBV) as they drew 0-0 with Íþróttabandalag Akraness. Hans started on the bench and played the final 23 minutes. They face Fylkir on Wednesday in the Icelandic Men’s Cup.

Galatasaray played their final match of the Turkish Super Lig on Friday as they finished their season in 13th place. They drew 1-1 away at Antalyaspor and fell behind on 45 minutes before Mostafa Mohamed levelled with 13 minutes to play. Halil DerviÅŸoÄŸlu started and was substituted in stoppage time. Finally in Spain, AD Alcorcón picked up a point away at Almeria on Saturday. It looked like they would take the points when Giovanni Zarfino scored on 83 minutes but the hosts levelled on 93 minutes through Arnau Puigmal. Joel Valencia played the final 10 minutes of the game and they will now prepare for their final game of the season which takes place on Sunday as they host Eibar.
