Having joined the young Bees in January of this year from Needham Market, Hans has featured eight times for Neil MacFarlane’s side and has found the net once as Brentford B beat Barking 4-0 away from home in the Semi-Final of the London Senior Cup.  The 19-year-old will now head out to Iceland to gain experience working under Hermann Hreiðarsson for a side who are five games into their domestic season. ÍBV compete in the Besta-deild karla, which is the highest level of football in Iceland. So far the campaign has seen them lose three and draw two of their opening matches. Hans will not be the first link between the B Team and Iceland with the young Bees having had Valgeir Valgeirsson on loan during the 2020/21 season from HK Kópavogur. They also had Kolbeinn Finnsson in their ranks, who impressed with the Bees before making the move to Borussia Dortmund in August 2019. Discussing the opportunity for Hans to step out on loan for a period, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Hans came into the Club earlier this year and we’ve been able to help his development in training and in games. He’s perhaps not had as much game time as he would have liked, and we feel that the opportunity for him to go out on loan will be a really good step for him. “He will be able to sample first team football and continue on his upward trajectory. We look forward to seeing how he gets on out in Iceland. He will be going to a club to work under Hermann Hreiðarsson, who we have a good relationship with, and I am sure he will benefit from some regular game time over the next couple of months.”
