Christian Eriksen speaks to the BBC

Midfield man takes part in interview as he helps promote Premier League scheme

25 May 2022

When Christian Eriksen helped the Premier League promote a life-saving initiative earlier this month, he also spoke to the BBC. Last summer, the life-saving role of defibrillators was brought into sharp focus when Christian Eriksen collapsed after a cardiac arrest during Denmark's UEFA Euro 2020 fixture with Finland. And the midfield man, who joined Brentford in January as he made his return to football, was pleased to mark the installation of the latest defibrillator made possible by the Premier League Defibrillator Fund at Bedfont Sports Club.

The full news story on the visit can be seen here and a video from the event here. Some pictures from the day are here. During his visit, Christian also spoke to the BBC.

Presenter Steve Crossman sat down with Christian to discuss the fund and also about his past year. The feature was set to run on BBC Football Focus on Saturday, 22 May, but did not. Excerpts from the interview can be seen here. If you want to watch Football Focus, which does include some Brentford moments, find it here.
